Infectious DiseasesIf your child has been unwell in the past 24 hrs then please make other child minding arrangements. It is unfair to your child and to other children and staff attending the creche, please do the right thing for all concerned. If your child has had vomiting or diarhoea that they are unable to attend the creche until the symptoms have ceased for a 24 hour time period. If your child is diagnosed with a serious infectious disease then please let the staff know as soon as possible. This will allow us to notify other parents to be on the look out for symptoms. Of course your privacy will be respected and names will not be mentioned. All toys and equipment are disinfected daily. ProceduresParents must remain on site while their child is in the creche. A sign in and sign out register is located in the creche. The parent or carer who signs their child in must be the person signing their child out. We will contact the parent if another person wants to sign the child out. With the exception of security items we would prefer that you do not bring additional toys with you as it creates complications within the group. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee the safety of these items so to do so is at your own risk. For children still in nappies parents are required to change their child's nappies as required and our staff will notify the parent/carer to do so. Please also bring your own supply of nappies and wet ones, as we do not provide these. If you are toilet training your child we would appreciate for the short time your child is with us if you could put a pull up nappy on them. If your baby requires a dummy please ensure that it comes with them to the creche. We want your child to feel as settled as possible whilst in our care. All bottles must be pre-made as we don't have these facilities. Staff are continuously striving to build positive relationships with the children and hope that they will eventually feel safe and secure in the creche. However, on occasions they may become distressed especially if they have not spent much time away from their parents. In this event we will contact you in the interest of your child's welfare as we have also found this can be disruptive and upsetting for the other children in our care. |
